About Me

I am Yasong Wang, a bilingual film director with experience in both feature-length documentaries and several narrative short films. My projects have screened and earned awards in several festivals around the world, in countries from the United States to China, and many places in between. I attained my BFA from the University of Colorado, Denver, and my MFA from San Francisco State University, and with my extensive experience in practical direction, critical reviewing, and cinematic analysis, I aim not only to tackle projects to demonstrate my artistic prowess, but to further my understanding of the skills and qualities that lead to meaningful art through thorough analysis of both directorial decisions and the external circumstances surrounding the film and the context in which it was intended to be seen.
